About Lauren

Lauren Breeze was elected in 2018 to represent Wilson County’s 18th Commission District and was re-elected to a second term in 2022. She will continue to work together with the residents of District 18 to maintain the quality of life in Wilson County that both life-long residents and transplants enjoy and expect as the population grows in the future.

Lauren got involved in county service through the Wilson County School district where she served as a member of the district’s strategic plan committee in 2013/14. She chaired a committee focusing on community engagement to get not only parents, but also the community as a whole, involved in education and schools. She has two children who are currently students at Mt Juliet Middle School and Green Hill High School.

Lauren is an Entrepreneur, Volunteer, Mother and Wife. She and her family moved to Wilson County from Texas at the beginning of 2012 when they found their forever home. Lauren immediately got involved in the community volunteering at Lakeview Elementary, serving as a Cub Scout Den Mother with Pack 913, and was active in a MOPS group. She has continued her community involvement volunteering with Meals on Wheels, participating in Mt Juliet Chamber of Commerce events, and serving on the Green Hill High School PTO board.

Lauren started her professional career as a Third Mate in the Merchant Marines working on oil tankers. After almost a year at sea, she used her degree in Marine Transportation to become a Port Captain for Mediterranean Shipping Company where she controlled the route and cargo planning for nine container-ships.

She went on to earn an MBA with a focus in Global Business and Marketing.

When Lauren arrived in Tennessee, she and another local Mom created Nashvillefunforfamilies.com, which focuses on activities, events, and attractions that families can enjoy and explore in Middle Tennessee. Through her business, Lauren has worked to highlight attractions and tourism in Wilson County. Her entire family also volunteered with the Tennessee Central Railway Museum that hosts excursion train rides from Nashville to Watertown and other middle Tennessee destinations.

Lauren was honored to be elected in 2018 and has used her knowledge of Wilson County gathered through years of community service and her professional education and experience to serve the citizens of District 18. To ensure Lauren is representing her district to the best of her ability, she has completed more than 150 hours of continuing education classes through the County Technical Assistance Service, a part of the University of Tennessee. Lauren is currently a Certified Public Administrator, and will complete the coursework to be a Certified County Finance Officer in April 2022.

This election is about the future of Wilson County. We need to focus on long term goals so we can be proactive in our decision making. Lauren Breeze embodies the creative, energetic, vibrant leadership that is needed to keep Wilson County’s traditions and values as we move forward together as a community. She is thankful for the community’s support and looks forward to continuing to serve District 18 in her second term.
